Using twitter to spread health messages

Have you thought about using Twitter to share health information and engage with colleagues, organisations, patients, politicians and financial supporters?

A recent study published by clinical researchers at the University of Sydney considers the benefits of using Twitter for information exchange.

The team conclude, “Real-time networking, using interfaces such as Twitter, provide an enticing and free opportunity for information exchange on a global scale… The benefits are particularly relevant in terms of promotional activities, awareness of health-related issues, and for interactivity at scientific meetings.”
